Our Company

A steady compass for those navigating unfamiliar paperwork

Sagewell was built around a simple idea: that administrative processes should not feel daunting, and that everyone deserves a calm, clear explanation of what to do next.

Our Story

How Sagewell came to be

Sagewell grew out of a practical observation. Several years ago, a small group of community facilitators based in Hua Hin noticed that many older adults — both Thai residents and long-term expats — were spending disproportionate amounts of time and stress trying to understand basic pension administration. Not because the processes were impossible, but because nobody had laid them out clearly.

In 2019, the team began running informal document-sorting sessions in community halls and care homes along the Prachuap Khiri Khan coast. Word spread quickly. By 2021, what had been a volunteer effort became Sagewell — a small, dedicated organisation focused entirely on making pension paperwork feel manageable.

Today we serve individuals, families, and care organisations across the region. Our work is always educational and organisational in nature. We provide clear process information and practical tools — never personal advice on entitlements or regulated matters.

Our Mission

To reduce administrative confusion for older adults and their families by presenting pension processes in a clear, accessible, and unhurried way.

Our Values

  • Clarity over complexity
  • Honesty about what we do and do not do
  • Patience as a default, not an exception
  • Respect for every person's pace and circumstances

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

These are not marketing statements. They are commitments we review regularly and take seriously.

Scope Clarity

We are always explicit about what our services include — and what they do not. We do not drift into giving personal advice. If something falls outside our scope, we say so plainly.

Data Handling

Participants in our workshops bring their own documents. We do not photograph, copy, or retain any personal documents. Anything you bring leaves with you.

Content Accuracy

Our process guides are reviewed before each distribution cycle to reflect the most current publicly available administrative information. We note when processes may vary.

Accessibility

Materials use large type, plain language, and clear visual structure. Workshop venues are chosen with mobility and comfort in mind. We accommodate participants who need extra time or assistance.

Community Accountability

We are embedded in the Hua Hin community. Local care homes, community groups, and individual participants can reach us directly with feedback, corrections, or concerns at any time.

Privacy by Default

We collect only the contact information needed to respond to enquiries. We do not share participant information with third parties. Our full approach is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Our Expertise

Administrative navigation for pension documentation in Thailand

Pension paperwork touches the lives of a large and growing number of people across Thailand — retirees who have spent decades in the workforce, older expats managing documents across two or more countries, and adult children stepping in to assist an ageing parent. The common thread is not the nature of the pension itself, but the administrative experience of dealing with unfamiliar forms, unclear sequences of steps, and documents that are easy to misplace or misunderstand.

Sagewell focuses on that administrative layer. We do not advise on entitlements, amounts, or legal standing — those questions belong with appropriately qualified professionals. What we do is help people understand the typical shape of the process, organise the documents they already have, and approach the next step with more confidence than they had before.

Our work in Hua Hin reflects the particular character of this community. The town has a substantial population of older residents — Thai and international — many of whom are managing documents related to both Thai and overseas pension systems. Our process guides and workshops draw on direct familiarity with the kinds of questions and confusion points that come up regularly in this context.

For care organisations, the challenge is often different: not confusion about the process itself, but inconsistency in how staff handle residents' paperwork, gaps in record-keeping, and workflows that have grown organically without a clear structure. Our operational consulting work addresses exactly that — reviewing what is currently happening and suggesting practical, implementable improvements.
